Setting the input sensitivity control?

I recently bought and installed the Alpine CDA-9886 (link), which is hooked up to my Kenwood KAC-8104D (link) and I was reading up on the input sensitivity control on the amp and I was a little confused on what level it should be at. It says to match it up with the pre-output level of my center unit, but i'm not quite sure what number that is exactly. On my amp, it goes from 4 (min) to 0.3 (max).

If anybody could help me out and explain what number it has to be at, that would be great. I have it currently at about 0.7 and it seems to work fine. I just want to make sure i'm getting the best out of my system.
