Setting LPF with no markings

The low pass filter on my amp basically goes from i think 35-250, but has no marking of what its set at other than the lowest and highest. It has no marking of what the frequency is in the middle, just 35 at the lowest, and 250 at the highest. How would i go about setting it at 100hz?

Thanks

Maybe test it with some tones?
This is what i was thinking but im sure if for example i was to make a 100hz tone, and use that to set it at 100, at like 60 it will still be playing through the sub wont it? Last time i asked a question someone said 'the filter is not a brick wall' so the frequency will still be playing just not as loud.

alright, well I'm not sure, that's what I'd do if I had no markings and I'd guess approximately what frequency it'd be assuming the setting would be linear.

For example on my amp my lpf is between 50hz to 150hz I think, or around there, it just has a few dots representing bits in between which I'm assuming are 20hz steps and I set it accordingly, I never actually tested if its set at 90hz like I assume it is.

how can you test what frequency its at?

ok say i got a test tone.... what do i do to test what frequency its at?

say i downloaded a 100hz to my iphone and play it in my car, how would i know when its at 100hz on my amp lpf/hpf?

well i'd say if your lpf is at 80hz and your playing a 100hz tone there would be a noticeable decrease in loudness.

You all fail at basic math
250-35= 215

215/2= 107.5

107.5+35= 142.5

That's approx the halfway point. Then keep doing the same to get close to the point you want
first of all, who is "you all"?

secondly I have stated that I can approximate the frequency of the lpf assuming it increases in a linear fashion. I just divide the frequency range by the number of points which is basically what you have just done.
