Setting gain with DMM

Cant I mess up my sub if I use a - tone?
Would the gains be set lower if I used a 50HZ tone? If so how do I know something like that wont come up in a song and make my amp go over 250 RMS then blow my sub?
no they'd be higher, but your amp would put out more with MUSIC. isn't that what you want?

correct...with that hardware, you would have to run the amp bridged at 4ohm... and turn the gains down...wait...that is 500 max? or 500 rms
I guess thats how its listed in the instruction book.

I have to turn my gains up like 3/4 of the way to hit 31 volts on my multimeter though

Ok the AC output was going up to like 34ish volts.

Then I think I broke my multi meter cause I acidently set the switck to x1k ohm and it went all beserk now it wont go on anymore. Hopefully it just drianed the battery.
