You dont see the problem? Which setting did you use -5,-10,-15? I use -5 and its more them enough for most songs.

i used track 5 witch is -10 i think it says in the manual it is a compromise between sq and loud. i know my subs are wired to 1 ohm but after box rise i never see a 1 ohm load or even possibly a 2 ohm load

found ur problem

Throw that piece of crap in the garbage and set it by ear.
how is it a piece of crap correct me if im wrong but isnt it an o-scope made simple??? and there the only proper way to set the gain?

setting it by ear is just a gamble. the problem im sure is with the way its wired

Its a good tool. Your wiring is the problem. The XD is not one of the heavy duty Korean amps that can run a quarter ohm

It's an overpriced/overhyped tool that does nothing more than a good DMM and a set of ears can do.

I don't know about you, but I've read probably at least a dozen threads/posts about people totally screwing up their amp settings by using the DD-1. That alone tells me to stay away from it.

i did my research on it before i bought it and i have seen the vids of it right beside an o scope setting an amp and if people are screwing there **** up with it they are not using it properly. it may be overpriced and i dont care about the name on it its a great tool if used properly. i never knew that multimeters picked up on distortion, but they are a good way to set ur gains but ull most likey be missing out on alot of output.

I guess it depends on your level of knowledge I suppose. I have no use for it though as I can set my gains very well by ear and testing.

As can many other people. Hell I've never even used a DMM to set my amps.
