Setting Crossovers

I have a CDA-9853 and i cant figure out how to have less bass with my speakers without losing bass to my sub. I know it has something to do with the crossovers but nothing really changed. I want less bass in the speakers. Thanks

I assume he's using the internal Xover.

When you get into the two-way Xover menu, there should be an option to attenuate the high band without touching the subbass...RTM to be sure. I know on my '35 it's really easy to do.

Yeah i read the manual and all that i jsut cant figure out waht to set it too or what exactly to do to get rid of the bass.

Oh...I re-read your original question.

Sounds like you need to set the HPF higher...where is it set now?

my 2xs took bass out just perfectly now i can turn up alot louder without distirtion

Yeah i think i figured it out now once i amp them hopefully they will be glorious.

iv got a question here too.... can i use the crossover in my deck so that bass only comes out of my subs and my speakers only put out mids and highs?

im sure there is a way... i havent even installed my shit yet in my car but iv takin a look at the little book that came with my deck... i know i can do somthing about just having bass in the subs but im not really sure how to... both of us can probly just go to any audio mobil store and ask for help.. im sure they can help us free of charge and plus they know what there doing
