Setting Bass EQ and Level

What are these? Level is measured in 6v - 0.2v (never seen before) and Bass EQ is measured in 0db - 18 db (Is this bass boost- I have a remote that came with the amp) Also is the Low Pass supposed to be mesured in 30Hz -150Hz. I no how to set Low pass but i am not sure what or how to set Bass EQ and Level?? THANKS IN ADVANCE

Alot of people on here will recommend that you not use it at all. It can lead to distortion and clipping. You can use it but you need to be careful. I have a Alpine amp pushing my type R and I use the bass eq. I have my gains set acordingly. The bass boost use properly is not a bad thing. It gives me a little extra bump. I will say that I have it set just a tad past 1//4.

Which setting are you talking about Bass Eq or Level?? Which one should i use and which one shouldnt??

the bass boost. if it's a variable bass boost ( where u can adjust anywhere between 0 -18db's) you can use it, but i think it'll be a smart move to turn down the bass on your HU.

yeah, if ya don't set it with the amp you'll clip it, bass boost is gay anyway, only reason manufacturers add that little add on is to sell and the person is gonna thikn "wow i'm gonna be bumpin bigtime" when reallyk your gonna be clippin the shit out of the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ok so the moral to the whole thread is that i need to set the bass boost with the bass boost controller and never change the boost on the controller....and level is the gain??
