Setting amp voltage help

I have a single sundown x10 with a 1ohm stable FSD2600 amp.

What would be an ideal number on amp to use?

1500x2=3000√54.77

2000x2=4000√63.24

Or bigger number?

I ask because a lot of subs can handle more than the factory rating.

Tyvm for the help

A lot of subs cannot handle more than the rating.

IF you believe so, take the RMS of that subwoofer, send a FIXED amount of power to it equaling 100w less than the RMS value for 2 hours.

This would take a LARGE amplifier with power source.

Power ratings of subwoofers are based on many variables. Variables in which most users do not take account.

By being blind to these variables, company A can be extraordinary or terrible. The same product in two different installs.

For daily, typically size amplifiers for 200% of the rated rms.

For long term demos, matching RMS to slightly over.

For short term demos, 300% the RMS value.

For burps, up to 700% the RMS value.

This is what i've personally done without issue but im also aware of certain limitations as well.

A lot of that went over my head.

Sundownx10 v2 D2 is rated at 1500rms. FSD amp 2600 at 1ohm stable.

I drive 30-40 min to and from work daily (average 1hr total), with that said, I was under the impression that Sundown subs are generously underrated.

My box is tuned @ 32Hz and I listen to E40 for the most part (or similar bass/beat).

When doing the math for Voltage, Where does DVC play a role?

two 2ohm DVC = 1500rms*2=54.77

or

two 2ohm DVC wired to 1ohm = 1500rms*1=38.72?

do it by ear until voltage starts dropping dramatically

you wont get any power out of it (for sub amps only) unless you soft clip it because of rise

if it stops getting louder when you turn it up you've gone too far

^

i second that

setting with the sqrt rule leaves alot of power on the table because music is so dynamic.

but to answer your question

sqrt(1500 * 1) or 38vac

sqrt(2600 * 1) or 50.9vac

sqrt(900 * 4) or 60vac (i couldnt find 4ohm rating but thats if you run the amp at 4ohm)
