Set on W7's..why?

that 120mm configuration would be a pretty clever idea actually, use some plexiglass and light 'em up with the push pull config thx dude--nice design concept but what i'd really enjoy is basically a thermo-cooling type setup but whatever works right

go for it man. i had 4 12w7's in my denali each hooked to a autotek amp about 1600 watts to each sub..batteries,alt,caps the works..did a sealed box..its wild what they can do when fed the right power..when i had it going full blast it looked like i had a monster locked up in the back flexing the body panels in and out..if you do decide and especially go for the 12w7's i suggest something stronger then the jl audio amp 1000/1 put at least 1500 watts to each one to get there full potential..i unfortunaly sold mt set up because i wanted to go with something else..so im eiter gona go back to w7's or get some 15's eclipses..

x2Take te money you where going to spend on the subs alone and you could bulid a whole system. I personally don't like jl. Don't get me wrong the product is good, but expensive. Way to expensive. It's not like it out performs every sub buy a sh+it load.

look into the other super subs like orions h2, re's mt, adires bramahs, dd 9something

kickers solo or l7. Mt9500. All of these subs have a lot to offer. Plus there not a dumb *** 1.5 ohm stable. WTF? What is that s*hit? They did that so you have to buy their crap. When you could buy an amp that will dance circles around any of their amps for cheaper.

p.s i fab brackets to lift back seats from 4" to 8" lift. Currently i have a silverado 1500 crew cab with a 5cube box under the back seat subs foward facing. hit me up if your really intrested.

They did'nt do anything, and who said u have to buy there "crap", if you cant or dont want to afford it.. then just let it be, noone s forcing you to do shit.. and so what its a regulated amp that s stable to 1.5 ohm... so what, what s the difference between that and a 2 ohm stable amp? it s all personaal preference.. JL has just as many fanboys as type r s do, i did'nt like r s at all, but i can at least give them credit on there performance.. Everyones taste is different

Are you nuts man? Competition level hardware, ofcourse is going to be 'EXPENSIVE'. I had 2 JL12W7's and um, I must say, they are _definiately_ worth the money. And, JL is by far ANYTHING but 'crap'. Don't trash a company or their product because you can't/don't afford it.

Jl makes awesome gear, but depending on who you talk to..... it can way too much. Where I live a 12" w7 is $700, tried to be nice... fokers wouldnt budge. A 12" w7 imo isn't worth near $700. However I was just wasting sometime while I was going through omaha and checked out a few shops. I found one that was gonna sell me a 10" w7 for about $400. Much better price but still not worth it imo.

So for some reason I am set on getting 2 12W7's, and nothing else. I am wanting to get some other options..other than what I want now. Not sure why im so set on getting these. What products do you guys think could be suitable in the place of the W7's if I didn't want them? Just seeing what other options I have out there.

Why are you set on them? Because they're still one of the best woofers available on the market today, granted your willing to pay the price for them. Which is why they are discredited heavily. If money is no object then get what you like.

I'd rather live in IA than Nebraska anyday, haha.. I like my Type R's, and honestly, I'd do the same unless I wanted to compete and have a realistic chance at winning--which I might get into sooner than later.
