Set on W7's..why?

insane: just get some 12" alpine type r's your gonna ****in kill your truck with all that other shit and another thing is making it fit -- aint gonna be easy. unless u do a major overhaul

well bro if you got the $$ and means to support your cause then you should your definiately skipping the novice and intermediate levels and jumping into the pro-competition level system setups and that takes alot of effort and cash to keep it running and if you have insurance you need to make sure it's all insured incase someone decides they like your setup too and doesn't wanna pay for something like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. that's a massive amount of $$ just to dick around.. Which is why I said that you should get into competitions because chances are you'd either win or come **** close especially in a truck.. You'll hit some real low frequencies and get some real high db ratings haha, and ya in most cases you win $$ so i'd do it and compete--not just to 'dick' around

my setup is good enough for me, even tho 2 10W7's would do the same thing as 4 of my type r's haha sad, but true! but i'm into the whole audio spectrum of it.. Clarity-fidelity.. My bass is crisp, clear and you can actually hear the music over it with those subs your gonna have to also consider and factor in the component/speakers and the amp your gonna need for that and some speaker savers and with that said you might wanna consider professional installation because with what you're doing it's very easy to blow something up, i read your profile and you're '15' so don't go getting all super dave after spending a couple of grand and wasting it--don't get something that big stick to something on a level of trial and error so you can blow something up and go get a new one the same day or the next and learn from your mistakes haha but whatever dude u asked for opinions that's mine if i was u i'd say to hell with what i had to say an do it anyway

speaking of which, does anybody know of any methods to keep your amps cool? I've seen a few methods i.e. from computer models and displays on how they keep their cpu's cool... problem is condensation so a dehumidifier would have to be used, and i don't much care for the concept of that haha but on the just of things amps = really hot = more efficient and sustain better cooler = any realtime feasible methods for such an idea? yanno startreekkin here short burst of nitrogen r sommit ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I was always considering doing a venting system for when the vehicle is moving motorized control open a vent and air bursts over the amps not a bad idea just alot of cutting into a unibodied vehicle and then you'd have to create an interface which is too much work! so i need some ideas haha

As far as cooling amps, i think your best bet would be some 120mm dc fans in a push/pull configuration. You just ake and make a case that fits around your amp, then put a set of fans at one end pushing air in, then at the other end another set pulling air out. This way you always have are flowing over the heatsink. That or you could water cool them, if you did that look at some computer sites for pumps and all the other things you would need.
