that custom sub i got from scottie johnson absolutely destroyed the xxx in spl...im not saying it was louder by a little, this sub shit on the xxx...in the same box too, app..4 cubes tuned to 32 hz...that sub is also 20lbs less...im getting another one from scottie that consists of an audioque hd15 motor and mt soft parts...should get louder than the current sub (eclipse motor with mt soft parts)...heres some pics...

in all fairness to RE the XXX does not have a motor geared for SPL, and the Eclipse did.

now put MT soft parts on a SX motor and that would be more of a fair fight

eh, i wouldnt say its fair to call it an "eclipse" motor..basically the same motor as a death penalty, old mag etc...its the same ol tc sounds bs

thanks for the pics. i have a grand prix and i had been trying to visualize what two 15s would look like and how it would fit. this gave me a good idea. my install is a little weird though. im doing two separate boxes. one on the left, other on teh right sort of angled towards the center a little with teh ports below the speaker. i want to leave a space between them so i can fold down the middle seat that goes into the trunk, stick my head in there and kill myself.lol hope it doesn't cause any ill effects though. like acting as a port that would throw off my tuning. i dont think it will. the amp are gonna be laid out in front
