Vented/ported will almost always be louder. But as far as "heavy", I don't exactly know what you mean.

If your putting your subs in a trunk go ported, if in a hatchback or suv go sealed. IMO

why sealed in a hatchback or SUV? Did you know that hatchbacks and suvs tend to carry bass the best and tend to be the best way to go when looking for spl?

You wanna go deep? find woofers with a low fs, tune in the high 20's with alot of port area. IMO.

for all out spl yes, for everyday rap no, I would say no higher than 37 for a dd involving rap.

Port it...tuning depends on what you're looking for in sound. High 20's and low 30's for deeper response, higher 30's for a little more output.

I wouldn't go above 40Hz.
