from what i know they still are. the medellion 2.2k was suppose to be their own custom board which could be used by no one else, but im not completely sure what happen with them..... =/

the 2.2s are going into production as well as a 1.1....the 2.2 was built to compete with the 20.1s... My boss-man Todd Faircloth (GA Loan on the TermPro forums) has a Street C crx with a 15" MT on 2 VFL400.1s...a a 2x show in Ozark, AL we dropped in a SHW and it did the same number but at a higher impedence and seamed to take the power better... I'm willing to bet most of you who dog RD do so b/c you see others doing it...yes Sundown built some of their amps...yea their product resembles atomic...what small company doesnt get parts from another in the beginning?

at a local shop here today where the JL audio REP's had demo cars out there showing off their stuff - I pulled up banging my RD SHW's and they were like "wtf are you running??"

I've talked to him acouple of times. I've been trying to find his number. Kevin told me to tlak to him in regards to building my box, I think he's the man for the job. I've heard a bunch of good stuff about him

Ok...turns out you were correct on their amps...zenon did build the boards for sundown...Sundown gets their amps from the same build house RD gets theirs from, 1 of their amps happen to share the same board, but it was never stolen because Sundown never came up with the design in the first place, it was just a board design that zenon came up with...i'm not afraid to admit when im wrong

But Atomic does NOT build the RD drivers

Alright guys, I didnt know it would get quite this much attention, yes im sure 10 inch motors are options on the APXX, because SJA builds these for us, the soft parts i assure u are different........we are working on a new backplate for the large drivers as well, because im really tired of hearing atomic copy, but when seth drops it in, we are gonna see a differance, we build the sub to be musical, it was actually gutted 3 times, to get the specs right, the subs a world of difference over anything atomic will ever put out, if anyones intrested in putting any of our models side by side to an atomic model of comparison, please contact me, id be more then happy to make a deal if u will do a review.

The strickly SPL sub is different then this driver, this is a musical woofer though, it would compare to something like our alpha in frequency response.

On further examination the RD SHW may look the same as the APX in pics, but close up shows that there not. You guys will see the AWESOME tensil layout design..by far the best i have seen!! Only qwark I have so far with the sub is the top chrom plate is so massive that it leaves about 1/2 inch between the plate and the spring loaded terminals, so no luck in gettin your fingers in there to suppress the terminals, it can be done its just a pain in the *** (look at side pic and you will see what im talkin about) !! So make sure you get the 45 degree cut top plate. This will help eliminate this problem.
This sub is built to be Musical along with SPL, kind of look at it as a RE XXX with an rms of 7000. The output is unbelievalbe!! Outdoes my APXX in the SQ and SPL department. Gained .5 dcbls by just switching subs.
