Okay I'm tired of reading all this crap both on here and on other forums that MT and BTL rule the world. A few threads today about the DP as well.

Here's my imput.

I've heard a BTL, I've heard an MT 18, and yes they get loud. Maybe just my ears, but they sounded like shit doing it.

The other day I got to hear Steve's (the owner of RD) ride with three Alpha 15's on a 3250, and the main part about it was it sounded great while getting loud as piss. And the thing is, I honestly would be glad to put an Alpha against a BTL or an MT any day, and I'll know that it will get as loud and sound just as great.

For example, a kid tested the Alpha, MT, and BTl. Same Car. Same Power. Correct setups.

Alpha was not significantly louder, but slightly louder than both the MT and the BTL. And sounded good getting there.

I heard Kevin's setup as well, trunk car(Focus) with an RD 1000.1 and two Classics at 32hz, it got loud as piss for what it was, I was thoroughly impressed with the subs and the quality of them. I talk to Kevin a decent amount and all I hear is how he beats the SHIT out of those subs and they just ask for more.

Huge rave about Sundown amps, they are awesome, I will give you that. Where's any rant/rave about the RD amps? Anyone got to play with them? They do well over rated power. And Sundownz I'm not talking down your company, I love your amplifiers(never got to hear anything else from you, however) I'm just curious as to why RD gets little to shit credit.

Okay so all you people who have never heard them, and to those few of you who have. Why no "boner" so to speak about RD? Why is no one blowing shit up with their Heavyweight's or SuperHeavyweights? They dont sound as good as the Alphas but I'd be more htan willing to bet they'd shit on a BTL or MT, assuming both are in the correct setup with adequate power.

Not trying to seem like an arrogant prick and I apologize if it comes off like that, but I want to hear some good things about RD.

Most people dont like RD's selling techniques, why? It's a small company trying to sell product. They're simply using a different technique of selling their products. Sundown, RE Audio and other simply got credit through forums. I just dont see why it's so bad that RD reps are out pushing it....it's how they make money, that's how any company makes money, selling their stuff.

Howso? I'd just like to hear. I dont mind being flamed, shoot all you want bro. There are plenty of people on this forum that know tons more than I do, of course, but plenty who know less. I just want ot hear some opinions, the point of speaking up and saying a few things that are a bit edgy is to get a good response to get a few folks interested. Cmon.

Also, are you referring to the MT 18 reference? I was just talking about the sub in general, it was a setup tuned to around 34 IIRC set up for daily beating...quality wasnt there for me, it did get adequately loud though. They're all good subs, I'm just wanting some subjective reviews.

The other companies have a good rep because of the people who work for the company. Granted the RD shitstorm has calmed down some, but they still haven't produced anything that deserves any special attention, imo.

They use the same amp manufacturer as nearly every other small amp company out there, so there's nothing different there besides their "advertising" technique which can use a LOT of fine tuning.

Frankly, RD entered into an already flooded market with a lot of great companies and representatives. Sadly for RD, they are coming in at the end of the "internet company" wave, and are going to continue to catch a lot of flack for it.

And yes i know that it's not "fair to assume" one thing or another based on one or two setups on a sub, but it's just what I know so far. I'm learning and listening still. People like to flame like you said....so I'm ready for it.

my mt's peak note on the term is 40hz and i guarantee you it sounds awesome,it will shake your nuts loose at 152db,ive heard the alpha and honestly it sounded good,the heavyweight is nothing but atomic and so are there amps,so before you come on here getting mad because no boner is going on about them,research the product,mt's and btls have proven themselves in the lanes,rd or atomic or watever has to do the same to get respect.

It was true in the beginning, I personally don't know if it's true now.

Either way, I'm content with the products I run now. I've also noticed that RD doesn't have very good resale value so I'm afraid to even try anything for fear of not being able to sell it in the chance that it doesn't perform up to my expectations.
