from what i know they still are. the medellion 2.2k was suppose to be their own custom board which could be used by no one else, but im not completely sure what happen with them..... =/

I was gonna run RD Audio in my StreetMax 1-2 car I had. I talked to the guy (forgot his name...sorry) for quite awhile. He showed me a price and that's when I decided to go elsewhere. I also didn't like how he bragged it up like he did. Be more humble? maybe?

i was going to run rd in my car, but not going to based solely on the way they are repped online and the way some dealers go about trying to make a sale. true that steve seems like a really cool guy, and i've never read a post of his yet on any forum where he bashes other companies, but just the way some of his chosen dealers try to bash every other brand out, and that the answer for every install is an rd product, makes me not want to run their stuff.

see i never dealtt with any reps. from day one it has been steve. and when i talk to kevin its really never about rd audio. more about dd and re. lol. well the whole rd the answer to every install isnt just a rd thing. i think fi seems to be like that if not worse. sad part is most people havent heard wha they are recommending. but i do agree with you. one company cannot be the answer for every install. oh btw ctmike i hooked up that lil oem just now. only 175 (comp amp) but wow is all i can say. great clean and pretty loud sounding sub. one of my favorites already. well see ho it sounds with 1500 =)

Seeing two 12's in a trunk car on 1000w holding their own in a 130-139 bass race was impressive to say the least.

I wouldn't be very impressed with that, but I guess that's just me.

I haven't said this to more than a few people before and you must take this with a grain of salt, but...

I had a 12" Classic and no, I have not listened to it. I sold it and shipped it a little while ago. I wish I had listened to it before selling it so I could give it a fair shot because I wasn't impressed with the build quality and parts selection. Certainly not the worst I've ever seen, but it wasn't the best sub I've ever held either. I don't know if I'm the only one who has this opinion, but there's a certain smell when you open the box...cheap and/or Oriental. Not that there's anything wrong with that because costs must be controlled somehow, but that doesn't mean I'm going to say it's got great build quality either.

I've got no qualms with RD Audio despite any...non-standard...business practices they and their representatives may have.

coming from the guy who is in the 150s with a single 10...

I built a box for a buddy of mine.

cavalier with 2 12" crunches and a 20.1 at 1 OHM (probably about 1000-1200 watts) that did a 145 in bassrace.
