Well, your just trying to stir up some sort of controversy, so its not really worth a response. I have a good idea as to who you are as well. No one's tried to hype RD anymore than any other company has tried to hype itself. I can't help what people post either.

No clue, probably the same reason other fan boys do? I never see them. Probably just a person getting a new driver and testing it just like everyone else does and being excited about it?

Im not like everybody else, and compare companies. And say one sucks and one is better. Hence everything is install dependant.

Oh no, your last post about a setup having a huge part of it dealing with the install, that was worth a shit. The rest wasnt. Not talking shit, just saying.

Anyone else out there with reviews of RD's Stuff? I'd love to hear some personal comparisons vs other subs, if you have any. Even if it's Kicker, JL, whatever.

well i dig the way my alpha v.2s sound. they get pretty **** loud and can take some power. and rd and sundown amps come from the same place. ive never heard steve say anything bad about sundown. i have my two rd 3250.1s comin on monday, as well as a btl 18 so ill give em some testing and see what i think. i also have a heavyweight v.2 coming soon as well. hehe and also a custom built cactus sounds 4hp based woofer from unknown coming as well. so ill be putting all of em to testing and well see how everything stacks up. but honestly im sick of hearing about all of these companies and how they compare and how one is better then the other. a lot of all this comparing is just biased opinions. imo lol.

I dislike there selling tactics, and i also dislike steve changing stories on shit all the time. products LOOK ok, and sound decent.. the few i have played with

agreed, i cant say anything about thier products as ive never heard any, but i do think some of the business "sales" are a lil shady

Okay so what could RD do to help out with it? Like what other routes could they have taken? Backing off a bit and letting a few people put up some numbers with their stuff, show some amp guts and amp benchtests or what? Honestly? Curiousity has got me

Amp guts are not hidden from anyone, they are posted on the Site. I have said it before, i will say it again: I like their woofers, I find they sound good and loud in more applications then many other woofers I have tried. In my car I currently have a sealed 12" Classic running on a SAZ-1500D (or rd1750.1...I have one of each) at 2 ohms. It gets loud and sounds good.

Personally I prefer the Sundown Amps over the RD because i prefer the asthetics and feel. The RD amps are VERY high quality and are solidly built. I feel comfortable recommending them to anyone.

This is referring to the fact that RD uses essentially the same board in the amps with some very minor differences. I dont see it as stealing, but merely choosing the same amp proto from the same build house then changing it how they saw fit. They are NOT the same amp, even though they look similar on the side by sides.

I'm too lazy to read the whole thread, but I'll just throw in my experience with RD.
I got to hold and handle the Studio, the Classic, the Sonace a 4" Super Heavyweight coil, and the Super Heavyweight, if my memory serves me correctly. I saw Kevin's car in action, basracing. Seeing two 12's in a trunk car on 1000w holding their own in a 130-139 bass race was impressive to say the least.

From what I've seen, RD has a solid product that sounds good, gets loud, handles power well, and is very well built.

Why don't they have the rage? Probably because not too many are fond of their marketing tactics... "Our product is like ________ but it's (more) __________"

Understood. It was, I assume, their way of letting the more common forum user or car audio enthusiast relate to the product, but maybe it was the wrong way of doing it. Gotcha
