replacing stock battery, useless without big 3?

i tried searching for this guys. i am at the point where my car needs a new batter so i figured why not get something beefy for my new amp when i get it. assuming i dont do the big 3 for awhile, would a aftermarket battery not be helpful without the big 3? i was thinking that even though the voltages would be higher, the stock wiring might limit its potental greatly. also, would a new alternator be necessary to pair with it as well or is it fine without it. (im only going to be running 900 or so rms watts.) thanks guys

Na you wont need to do big 3 for only 900w a good aftermarket battery itself should be a good improvement!

No alternator either. I use to run 1500wrms off stock battery and alternator and my voltage wouldnt go below 12

i would just go with a quality replacement battery and do big 3

big 3 is pretty easy to do and does not cost much at all

even w/o the big 3 a better battery upfront will help you alot

ill do the big three. is there a walk through for it that has pictures?? the sticky has no pictures in it. also, is there a difference between 1/0 awg and 0 awg wiring?? im about to buy a bigger wiring amp kit as well.

i'v run 1k on a 105a alt stock cheapo batt, and my voltage didn't drop below like 12.9

That kit will work find, Plus it has the anl fuse. Those are the best to use.

im looking for the best 0 guage wiring kit i can get for around $70. this one here has a 250amp fuse vs. the stingers 150amp fuse. im not really sure which is better. if anyone can guide me to the best for the money on ebay that would be awesome

The only thing is, the AQ 1200 only takes 4 gauge. I reckon you can run it to the back with 0 and then use a distro into 4 though. Also look at KnuKonceptz, they got some nice wire kits. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Amp%20Installation%20Kits
