replacing stock battery, useless without big 3?

Ya 4g is enough. They wouldnt have put 4g inputs on that amp if it wasnt enough.

i'v run 1k on a 105a alt stock cheapo batt, and my voltage didn't drop below like 12.9

When I had my firebird I was running 1200w w/ 105A alt. and a stock batt. The voltage did drop a bit. But then I did the big 3 and put a yellow top under the hood.

No more voltage drops at full tilt, idling.

I run 1700rms on 0/1g Knu wire, 2 batteries in a Redtop and Powermaster5100d in the back and I get no voltage drops, until I really crank on it, but still not that bad. Lights don't dim.................and I didn't do the big3 yet.

My car I need a lift to get to my alty, which is under the car and a pain to get too!

Car does fine without it though.

for 900 watts I would do the big 3 and a new agm battery under the hood. Be it a deka, orbital or kinetik. Would need less maintenance in the long run but not as big of a necessity as the big 3.

i was looking over this walk through and noticed he used a fuse. is this necessary? i thought all you need is some 0guage wiring and the ring terminals and you are set. any input here guys? and for the AQ1200d i was told the 4guage is fine. so please tell me the difference between these 2 kits besides the price.....http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX-AK4

ok so ive read soe more info and now i know i need the fuse for the connection between the alternator and the battery....now if anyone can answer the question about the knu wiring kits that would be great

Well from what I can see so far, The difference is in the speaker wire and rca's. I would assume the higher price set is using a step up for those. A lot of people argue rca quality is not important. I do think however that speaker wire is.

so is the wire that goes to the battery to the amp different to the wire going to the amp to the sub (speaker wire?) ?? im sorry now im confused.

i went ahead and went with the higher quality wires, why not for a few more bucks
