reconing a sub

I just got the prototype icon 12 kit and it only includes the dustcap, and vc spider and cone and stuff. So now ill need glue, what type and where can i get it at. And can i just make shimmys out of a single piece of paper. and is there anything else ill need for to do this? thx

i used printer paper for shims just rolled it up, also any cyanoacrylate will work but the stuff with the activator psi sells works extremely well

watch some vids on youtube they will help you out a lot. also get ur glue from psi.

get ur glue from dave or go to a local hobby shop and buy bsi black ca glue and activator. to glue ur surrond and dust cap use e6000 or goop, dont use ca glue.

for shims use file cards....

whats the point of shimmys anyways? why do u need to put paper between the voicecoil and motor/magnet?

you put shims inbetween the pole and voice coil former so when the sub plays it dosent rub.this is VERY important...
