RE SE sub

Last week I installed my Alpine 9830 and both pairs of infinity reference speakers in my '98 Jeep Cherokee, but now i'm thinkin about gettin a sub...I only want to get 1 sub, and dont want to spend anything over like $225, unless you guys think it'd be better to get 2 subs..but i still wouldnt want to pay over ~$225. I'm looking at 1 RE SE 12" or 15" sub, but i'm not too sure which one to get. I play mostly rock music, some rap occasionally and some metal also...all kinds i guess. I'm open to any suggestions, i'm just not sure which sub would be best for all different kinds of music, or if i should get 1 sub or 2, i'm confused lol..also, should i go with a ported or sealed box?
