What are your scientific facts? My empirical evidence is that I tried BXT and it works well, I get no vibrations in my car that I can hear... it doesn't matter if one is better than the other on paper, if the outcome is the same or very close that's what counts. Looks like you are bias to SS.

Dude, don't waste your time on that tool. Guy is about as worthless as anybody on this site because he is bias to SS and whatever else "he" likes. Nothing else matters at all and if we think it does, it is beyond wrong and should be killed off like a buzzing bee!

What people want to see is actual results not 20% of this is better than X% of that... just show us what the product does and what you claim the competition does not.

Ant, i dont want to be a jerk, and im definitely not dogging on your product, but seriously, you arent doing a good thing for your company right now. As a person that has wanted to try SS products, you are making that a big turnoff. Let your customers do the talking.

As for the deadeners. I have used raamat BXT and Elemental designs v1 (i think, whatever the butyl one is), deadener. I had an explorer with about 350sq ft of ED deadener in it, and my avalanche has 125sq ft of raamat BXT in it. the Raamat BXT blows away the ED deadener by far.

Raamat is easy to apply in tough spots and works very well for what it costs. It can be a bit messy, especially if its in a hot environment.

As for SS products, i cant say much. I've wanted to try the damplifier pro, but i have no need for it in my current vehicle, and with how Ant is acting in this thread, i may not.

It's ridiculous to think that a product that the company, and this guy brian whatever his name is, thinks SS is the end all to sound dampening. Then tells us even cheaper products end up being more expensive, but don't want to put the product to an actual test naming the competitors you claim are so sub standard? That brian guy is obviously biased, I don't take what SS says as fact because they are trying to sell their product plain and simple. If you want to really prove it, then show us a video that we can replicate to prove your results.

just an fyi i have 30 sq ft of raammat per door on my car. so no im not biased. i just know a better product when i see it. also i am considering using vmax(whatever the cascade product is) so by no means am i considered a brand wh0re.

Here is the thing that you don't get.I am not here trying to sell product.

I do just fine without having to convince a bunch of people that my product is good, better or best.

Look around. Read the reviews. There is no denying what people think about Second Skin. They love it!

I am here to support the industry and to answer questions and get people to think about things differently.

There are plenty of other products you can go with out there besides Second Skin and besides Raammat.

Both are good, and both have their merits.

I would take Raammat over many of the other knockoff products out there any day. It beats the hell out of all the other roofing tape products that many people on here defend as well.

Again, go through all of my posts in this thread. Not once will you see me critisize Raammat. What I am critisizing is the metality that some member continue to promote that Second Skin is expensive. That Dynamat Extreme is Expensive, and that somehow cheaper products defy the laws of physics and commernce and manage to our perform everything else.

It is not raammat that I am critisizing. It is the perpetual ignorance the seems to haunt this forum with never ending abundance.

The only reason Ant is here is to help sell the product, saying you are not is assuming your customers don't know any better and that puts us off also. So you just happen to work for SS, but defending the product and giving countless examples of how good it is has nothing to do with helping sell it? Again... come on!

I dont think ANT can do that legally (naming competitors in a test). I am no lawyer by any means, but without getting competitors permission that could be defamation regardless of facts being accurate or not.

An unbiased party can absolutely though. So instead of ragging on about this, why dont you do your own sound deadener showdown and report to us.
