Beware Of The BBB
hey, i have a mtx amp (pro 50x2) that is stable to 2 ohms, but i want to wire my 4 ohm kicker comp10's into 2 ohms and bridge it, this will equal 1 ohm, will this damage it fairly bad, if at all? i havent done it yet i just want more power for my subs. Is it a go/no go?

Thanks

I would chance it since it is a mtx amp but take it easy on the gain give it plenty of air and monitor the temp of the amp until you know what it can do

i ran a similar set up in my old car with an amp that was only stable to 2 ohms and tried to run it down to 1 ohm. it didn't work it overheated and fried my amp... i would really think long and hard before you do it man.

If you tried it I would monitor it very closely, It'll probably overheat quickly
