Pics of my setup? Suggestions?

Sealed have tight , and cleaner bass response ,Ported can be good at sound quality also if tuned down around 29Hz-32Hz ,but ported is usually for us boom boys that like loud smack my assss and call me sally music.

i gotta ask what speakers were in your sub box? who the hell would put speakers in a sub box? then instead of atleast using wood to block the hole, you use tape //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

Sweet mother of.....Why is there like 30 extra feet of red wire just coiled there? Also A vacuum is your friend.

NINJA EDIT: If that crimped piece of wire that you layed over your seat joint isn't a fire hazard, then I don't know what is.

Oh I forgot, I have a inverter in my car, thats a regular outlet cable, I use that to power My TV and XBOX when I go camping/offroading

You see, I don't really have the money to do that. and its better that I just do it myself so that I learn. Plus its a whole lot cheaper. The Subs + box cost me only 50 dollars. Good condition too for the subs. I am probably going to buy a pair of JL W7 Subs when my KFC's break. why buy new subs when I can just use them now, but I think I could make them pound harder if I make a new box, just not sure how.

Well I'll be honest. The w30003 was one of my 1st subs. And I can't truly say I was ever impressed. Did it fill out the low end? Yes, but if I could go back I would have gone a different way. As for you situation. Either as you mentioned A. build a box to the specs of the subs B. Buy a simple Q-Logic box since they are cheap and as you said you don't quite have the $$ for a new box C. Hit up a pawn/swap shop that builds boxes and test them out there and see if you like the sound.

What would be your cost savings per unit having your coils wound in aluminum instead of copper? Can you quantify the efficiency (or dB) gains...

This would go a long way to alleviating the dimming issue, up to around 4000 watts. It can handle 100A continuous and up to 285A 7 second burst...
