Pics of my setup? Suggestions?

Common chamber dont mean dik....As long as ur running 1 amp toi ur subsit wont make any dif.. when u have 2 amps n 2 subs, it s a little tougher to dial in the amps , and if there not running together then ull have some cancelation problems.. phase... doubtful...

I'd rather put the gas in my car:) Sledge hammer ftw.

Its not much, but this is how I got it. These are my subs

and that is my deck

I was wondering if I put like a peice of plywood insdie the box twhere those holes are, one by duct tape, and one wher eu can clearly see. would it hurt the sound by much, because I took out the speakers that were in those holes because they don't work very well when inside the box.
What do you think of that Kenwood CD Player? Im just wondering because I have the same one.

How would I go about making a new box though, I bought these subs, along with box and speakers and everything i nthe box for 50 bucks. So ima assume the box isn't that good

I love the Deck I have it has all that I wanted, and more. It hasn't let me down since december when my car fried itself. =P

Anyone got an idea what I can do for a 600 watt 150 rms tornado sub. for a box that is. I just repaired my one that I have, it sounds a lot better because I made the port bigger and put more screws on to secure teh box together more because it rattled.

Ya, that box doesn't even look like it's really tuned, just kinda ported haphazardly, if you can't avoid a prefab, go sealed.

I wouldn't worry about power issues until you get a better box, at least then you'll know if you really have an issue and can go from there.

If your budget is tight, get a couple sealed boxes at walmart for $20 or $30 a pop, the grey carpeted ones. They're nothing special, but they're sealed pretty well for a prefab, and a cheap sealed box will sound better than a cheap/prefabbed/wrong/small/high-tuned/incorrectly x'ed-over or ssf'ed ported box any day. Not saying your box is any or all of those things, but there's a lot of factors that have to be there to benefit from a ported box over a sealed one, or even to make it AS loud as sealed.

Find a friend with a sh*tty car, place the box in the middle of the road, and run it over at aprox. 75mph. Then use the search button to learn how to build a box. Your subs are wired out of phase when you hook both of them up, and that is why it sounds better with just one sub. I assume your electical connections need some review too. Do some research and get back to us. I dont know what kind of box would be best for those particular subs but most anything will sound ok in 1.75-2ft tuned to 33hz or so.

i've owned 2 of those subs for like 5 years now, and loved them and even bought a set of 2 10's too. sweet entry level system, sold the 2 12's with a 600w amp with my car this morning for 200$, givin the 10's to my bro as soon as he gets a car.

i've always used them in a sealed enclosure, get a qlogic or something cheap like that, i paid like 30 for mine. basically they perform well in almost any enclosure, i've heard them in a ported box too and they sound loud, i like em better in a sealed tho
