Got the peerless sls 10's today and they are perfect! But there is no way they are going into the doors. If I had power windows it would be no problem because the shaft for the window handle would not be in my way. So, instead I came up with an Idea to do some large pods that open up into a shallow false floor up front. Which brings us to my question????? Has anyone else heard of and or done something this drastic to get the proper air space for their speakers up front???

absolutely amazing!!!! i usually skip through all the build logs to just see the pics and if i see somethin interesting i might read a few posts. not this one. your skills are crazy!!! definitley subscribed. are u going to do a wood box or some crazy fiberglass?

Thanks to all for the kind words!!! There has been a change of plans again. The doors will be redone, The hertz Hv 200 8's are out and a set of peerless sls 10" I received in a trade (they will be here on tues, I'll post pics when they get here) are going in the doors. The 6.5's from the HSK set are going in the kicks.The signal processing will be handled by an audiocontrol EQX(also traded). Going active has crossed my mind but it is dependent on whether I can buy back my matching punch 45 and 75 from my dad at the prices he paid me for them. He also has a 150 but I think its going to be a little too much power for the hertz 6.5's

(+plus he's using that one).

I'm really not sure about the peerless vs. the hertz 8's but so far this route has cost me nothing out of pocket except shipping which is a plus because I'm broke as s**t at the momment.

Peerless speakers look good mang. Sucks you couldn't fit them in the doors. What about pods up front and then do a componet set in the doors?

Also I know all about being a broke ***. Try having plenty of money in the bank, but can't touch it! Sucks........................really bad!

I was thinking of going mostly MDF with maybe just a little bit of glass on the baffle wraped in vinyl. But nothing is set in stone(my mind changes like the wind).

Nothing much going on with the car right now I've been really busy. But I did get the EQX I was talking about a few posts back. Its pretty old but seems to be in perfect shape and all controls are the same as the current model. I traded a couple video games and some 6x9's for it locally.

Nah... I been really busy with work and family. I did get started on a cover for the eq though.

I plan on boxing it in and mounting it on some tracks/rollers in the glove box so it is easily accessible for tunning. Another thought was to mount rubber feet on the bottom of the eq box and neatly bundle all of the wires in tech flex. Then I can just pull it out of the glove box and adjust it in my lap.

Also, I got started on a graffiti piece for team psi last weekend.

How is this related to the build??????????????

I am trading it and one other small piece for my recones so I have to get them done before I start on any major projects.
