painting sub?

We are being nice about it here...but the point of subwoofers is sound...not looks. Im with DJ man if you want subs to match your paint go with audiopipe eyecandy. as far as im concerned there are few high end subs that I dont find visually appealing. YES painting the subs will be detrimental to the subwoofer, and yes (depending on the material of the cone) it will probably look like shit if you are using spray paint.
i agree that subs are suppose to be about sound...i'm just saying "what if" a guy wanted to change its color...

maybe its some ugly pale neon green color and you wanted it black...i donno...stupid stuff like...just saying hypothetically...

thanks for your input...

You guys act like the sub will sound terrible by adding a littl emass to the cone... adding mass to a sub's cone is a COMMON way of modding a driver. It should give you some extra lowend iirc. It will still sound fine unless you do tons of coats.

If I saw this on a car, I would point and laugh, and never take the owner seriously. I did see it once on a crx, and yes, it sounded like absolute sh!^. Don't do it.
