it will change your T/S specs.
If you are worried about looks more then performance then paint them.

It will not "damage" the sub.

yeah i know its gonna change some...i guess the question is that is it going to make a world of a difference? like drop your spl score from say 150 to 148 or 149, or make it sound like a audiobahn after sounding like a rlp...

just some things i was curious about...

i know not everyone has subs to putz around with and paint them and make scientific tests but i was just curious if anyone had some real life experiences or any strong theoretical points...

get you some audiopipe EYE CANDY subs...they come in a variety of colors!!!

i was actually nice about it too...all i was asking was that if one wanted to change the way the sub looks, how negatively would that affect the sub's performance...

no subs in particular currently...i'm just hypotheically asking a what if question...for the heck of it...

so if anyone has something contributive to say, please do, otherwise leave your internet penis at home

We are being nice about it here...but the point of subwoofers is sound...not looks. Im with DJ man if you want subs to match your paint go with audiopipe eyecandy. as far as im concerned there are few high end subs that I dont find visually appealing. YES painting the subs will be detrimental to the subwoofer, and yes (depending on the material of the cone) it will probably look like shit if you are using spray paint.
