Paintballers!!! Should I buy this modded gun? Also stupid question

Im pretty set on getting this modified tippman, just **** not knowing if its gonna work out of the box witha good cleaning and lube or not.

Bid will probly end at like $130-150 Id think

You can get a new 98c pro for 180$. Comes w double trig and extended barrel. This gun doesnt sound bad. The 98s are like hondas, they never die and need about the most basic and most less maintenince of any gun. If you get a stock 98 i can promise you that you will get a longer barrel as your first upgrade.

As far as co2/ compressed air, a normal garage tire one will NOT work. Like said above, 125psi will not fill a 4000psi. You need the compressed scuba tanks to fill those.

I would try and find an older impulse. Low pressure, high efficiency ftw, cheap, and fully customizable.

I really do like that tippman, but the guy not "knowing" if it works or not kinda bothers me, im sure i could rebuild it, since its gonna go for about a hundred bucks probly, but I dont want to rebuild...

Because it was designed for a special compressor that generates up to 5k psi. Your not going to ever fill that tank with a standard compressor. You have to get them filled at special places. IE paintball field or store

Well some gun to me OBIVOUSLY shoot faster/straighter than others straight out of the box.
Like is the tippman I pictured a descent gun that can be velocity adjusted on the fly from factory? never really held one before, let alone a modded one.

I get that my compressor is only 125 psi, and the tank needs 3000. But theres no way this little valve just pushes more and more and more air in there until you get desired pressure? I just dont get why a paintball place online would sell that if the typical guy couldnt use it. Just looks like what it was designed for to me

Ill have to grab some ebay links and post them up here for you guys to tell me if the gun are good or not. I just want a basic gun from this guy that will hurt my buds when I hit them and be RELIABLE lol

I'm guessing you are playing woods ball? Tippman 98 customs can shoot pretty hard, (not very fast though). They are pretty tough as well from what I hear.

Check out pbnation and see what them guys have for sale, sure you could pick up something older for under $200 that's a 20+bps gun.

Ive actually never woodballed before, I do a doulb elevel indoor course thats pretty cool, but only 100 X 300 feet probably, but buildings everywhere

I wouldnt buy that modded pos, just get you a reg ol tippmann 98 and go about it, no one marker is more accurate than another, it comes down to a paint to bore match.

Go on over to http://www.pbnation.com they have a newbie forum where you will get ALOT more and decent advice.

if you want a good gun buy my autococker.

for 170 you get gun and fairly new nitro tank, all you have to buy is a decent hopper and your set. and a couple barrels
