I can tell you for a fact the Sundown Z will handle a clamped 2800 after rise daily. It's never a bad thing to have to much electrical support

So are you saying i need another batt?

He is saying that it wouldn't hurt. with 270a of generation, your 2nd batt would be okay but it depends also on how steady your amp drain is from your zx2500 (meaning what type of music you'll be listening to and for how long). Throwing another batt in there would give you some peace of mind though. The kinetik 1800 does somewhere around 80-85 amp-hours if I remember correctly, plus whatever you have under the hood.

I personally ran over 2k (from an AP3K @1ohm) on a 250a alt with a single duralast gold under the hood and never had a problem, but I also wasn't playing "Put on" for 4 hours straight.

I listen to rock and rap but not really for hrs and hrs. My old kinetik went bad, so i ordered the 1800 and just got it in and havent even installed it yet. So if i need to switch it for a bigger one then id like to do it now instead of having to add power later.

With my 1500 rms i ran a kinetik 800 on stock alt and never had any problems. So im not real sure that i need to upgrade it.

Also my batt under the hood is an interstate megatron or megatron 2. Dont remember but its only about 5 - 6 months old

The megatron probably has more power to give than the kinetik. I think you'll be okay.

Can i get some input on narrowing this list down? I really dont know what to look at or look for.

Its going in a daily driven 03 monte carlo, mid size trunk. Maybe some explaination of what i need look at on specs.

Basically just pick the one that looks best to you. DC just got a **** load of motors in ready to get built. If your not going to be burping 10K I would go with a XL. Cheaper and more musical.

What do you mean what looks best to me? Thats what im sayin, i dont know what im looking for specs wise. Dont know what alot o that stuff means. But i do want something thats still tuned to music since you mentioned that.

I think out of those the xl is the only one offered in a 10" but the rms is the same as the 12. So whats the diffrence when i see that?

They are all going to preform close to the same. DC likes smaller boxes would be about the only difference. They all have the same RMS across the sizes. Same motor different basket. Don't look at them as you would look at a sub from best buy. Totally different ball game.

Out of the Ascendant Audio Mayhem, Incriminator Warden or dc which would you lean toward?

And what do you mean purpose built?

I like the incriminators series but i really dont kno why. Why im tryin to figure out what specs i need to look at and whats gonna make a diffrence in how it performs daily
