Orion HCCA questions NEED SOME HELP

Im looking at either 1 HCCA 10" or 1 HCCA 12" but im not sure which to go with. Heard a lot about them being real under rated. I would prefer the 10 just because i think the response on it would be quicker and more punchy compared to a 12s booming sound. If that makes any sense, and if im wrong correct me, ive never heard these subs in person so if a 12 is just as good lmk. Whatever i get ill be pushing them with a Kicker ZX2500.1. I dont really want to switch amps unless i have to.

My main question is that the kicker amps are under rated as well so i have a concern pushing the 10" with a 2500 rms amp. But like i said if a 12 is just as good then ill just go with that.

My first system was 2 type r 10s and i liked the sound from those better than the 2 kicker cvx 12s i have now. Thats why i think that about the 10s.

I don't know where you heard these things, but you will not hear them here. The HCCA's are not very good subs. They are all hype and rubber. There are some subs that will handle 2500rms but the HCCA is not one of them.

So whats a good sub then that has around the same specs? Or that i can push with the 2500.1

And what about the 10 bs 12 thing?

Cerwin Vega Strokers? Ive looked at those

DC level 5, SSA ZCON, Ascendant Audio Mayhem, Incriminator Audio Death Penalty/Warden, Sundown Audio Nightshade

Some of those are rated at 1500 rms. are they under rated or were you just suggesting to set gains accordingly?

Whatever i get is going in my daily driver so i want that kept in mind to.

The ones rated at 1500 will take 2500. Also do you have the electrical to support the 2500? What size alt do you have? Do you have good wire and extra batts?

2500 continuous? And still sound good for daily driving?

Singer is building me a 270A alt itll be in in about 2 weeks. Ive got I/O wire and big 3 done and a kinetik

1800 batt in the trunk.

Your electrical should be fine for that amp. The 10 vs. 12 thing is all crap. The sound will entirely depend on the subwoofer itself, not the size. some 18s sound cleaner than some 8s. It depends on the subwoofers specs.

I would want to have a battery bank of over 100ah. Not sure what you meant by your first question but plenty of people run 2-2.5k daily.

One says my elec will work another recommending more?? Anyone else?

Also any more sub suggestions? Or are the ones murph mentioned the ones recognized on here?

And what i meant by the other is you had said some of the subs you suggested will handle 2500rms, but there only rated for 1500rms. Just making sure im on the same page and that running an extra 1000 watts isnt just for short times
