Orion HCCA questions NEED SOME HELP

By purpose built, I believe he means a box built specifically for the sub, and specifically geared towards what you plan on getting out of it, sound/SQ/SPL-wise. You definitely want a box built for this sub, whichever one you may choose.

somebody must have gotten real butthurt to make an account just for this...

the hcca motors are massive air pockets. look at a real motor and youll see... well metal in it.. not a huge gap with nothing... 4" coils and only rated 2000w rms? My 3" coiled attitude handled more than that. Not to mention at over $500 you can get a fuckload better.

The HCCA baskets are built to make them look bigger, without actually BEING better. They arent bad woofers, just not $500+ woofers
