I'm standing at the bus stop in an ALL WHITE INFLUENTIAL neighborhood waiting to get my kid off the school bus. Within 20 minutes, 3 cops roll up (one with his hand on his weapon) and say they received a call that a black male is stalking the neighborhood. I happened to be buying a home on the same street in question. I'm a well-dressed, clean cut guy at all times. I don't believe in the big saggy clothes. Why do you think the cops were called on me? Help me understand my ignorance.

First off I never said anyone was ignorant, secondly how about I walk down a couple of neighborhoods in NOLA, or Memphis on a Saturday night and see what happens

Is racism alive and well in this country ? yes it is, but it is not a one way street, black people have plenty of prejudice toward Whites ,Asians, Jews, etc.

I am sorry you have had this happen to you, it is wrong, no one should be judged on there skin color alone

But the reason good white people in 2014 call the police on a upstanding clean cut member of the community that happens to be black is because of there life experiences and what they see on tv, social media , etc. ( like rappers talking about drugs and violence, riots in st Louis, corruption in Detroit, etc.)

the black community has to take responsibility for there communities problems and work together with everyone to change the culture and there image , (white people can not fix the problem and money will not fix the problems )there will always racism in every corner of this earth, but we CAN work and live together and be happy and not kill each other, we have done it before and are doing it now

Waco followers believed Koresh was Jesus and were willing to do whatever he said. Ruby Ridge deal, if my memory serves me correctly, this guy had a shoot out with DEA or US Marshals.

You have everything out of context. Read back through the thread to understand what my post meant. Also, you will find out soon enough he was not killed for jaywalking. You making that statement alone makes it hard to take you seriously. He was trying to beat that cop to death and take his gun. You will know this soon enough.

You are so far wrong on Waco and Ruby Ridge. I suggest you try to read up on the subject. I'm going to assume if you don't believe the media based on your insistence that Saint Michael of Swisher is a murder victim, so try digging a little deeper than what you remember hearing in 30 second sound bites 20 years ago.

The exact same reason that when I've driven too close to or through all black neighborhoods the cops are on me like flies on *****. The same reason I get pulled over and hassled up north driving around with Florida plates.

Get over yourself. You don't have the monopoly on being abused by law enforcement, and the victim mentality won't get you far in life.

I grew up in a very prejudiced household..My family always talked down on blacks so i thought that was the truth.Well i got locked up at 18 and other cultures and colors were very prevalent.I learned what i was taught was BS..No fkn way you can base an opinion on a few ppl of ANY race.Alot of bad eggs in every color.If you are so close minded to think that's all of them then YOU are the fkd up one.Got plenty of black friends who bust their a$$ everyday just like i do and they don't boo hoo about ''whitey'' keepin em down.They go make their own futures.Make sh1t better for their families..No hand outs just hard work.Oh yeah they grew up poor and all that..No excuse anymore for not doing sh1t with your life.Pull yourself up and get a gd job and be productive.I understand stuff get's hard..I had nothing growing up but ffs i didn't sit around crying about it.I got a job and did what i had to do.The looters are just pond scum waiting for a handout..Any race is better off without those kinds among them..End of rant!!

There is areas in Baltimore that if I was walking down the street. I would be jumped if not killed just for being white. The stuff is everywhere man. Just cause I'm a Italian American does not mean I do not face people treating me unfair. It's happened plenty of times. If you were I. A neighborhood waiting for your kid to be dropped off I don't understand why someone would call the cops ? They would have to know it's a bus stop seeing that they live there. If you have done nothing wrong and have a legit excuse why you are there I would only laugh. Cause you did not do anything wrong. Don't let 1 persons ignorance give you a outlook on millions man.

After reading your previous statement, I should even respond to you. I don't play victim to anything. As long as I educate myself, work hard for the things I want, and continue to be a law abiding citizen, I think my life will continue to be smooth sailing.

I had been living there for about 6 months when the incident happen. The bus stop is at the opposite end of the street from my house, so I walked down. This particular day, they were running a bit late. For what reason, I don't know.

Guys, I'm well aware that racist acts happens against Whites and other cultures as well. This is something that needs to be dealt with regardless of skin color. I'm glad the topic came to light. Everyone has been respectfully voicing their opinions, without stepping outside the line. I'll be the first to say, if anything I've posted has offended one, I APOLOGIZE.

I worry and talk because, I have a 9yr old. I don't teach her skin color. She knows nothing about African American other than what she learns at school. I teach my daughter to love regardless of skin. I worry daily that she's going to be mistreated due to the color of her skin. Hopefully, the lessons my wife and I are given now will help prepare her for the situation if it ever arise.

You don't get that why the cops would check you out if you're in an all white neighborhood? Like I said, I've been hassled for driving in or around an all black neighborhood. The cops see you, figure you don't belong, and go fishing by shaking you down. In my case (and I assume yours) simply NOT having warrants, not being in the act of committing a crime, and acting civil ensures that the situation is resolved quickly and without escalation into a bloodbath.

If you saw someone you didn't know hanging around the bus stop you'd probably call the cops yourself.... or I hope you would.

Is it right, probably not, but it's reality, and if "profiling" didn't get results they wouldn't do it.

Are you telling me, I should be okay with the cops being called on me when I'm at the bus stop 5 days a week from Aug-Dec? I could understand if it happened within the first month, but 4 months in....C'MON. No, I wouldn't call the cops on someone at the bus stop, after all, it is a bus stop.
