I don't think they sell much outta there we are quite a small town up in.. British Columbia Canada..

Bleh.. I'm bad at this posting stuff from my phone.. But again. Should I not wire any speakers to the deck ? Run a JL 300/4 off of the spare hole in my distribution block.. Or am I just needlessly hooking up another amp doing that?

I'd use the 300/4 if your alternator and battery can support that in addition to a 1200/1.

Boss overrates every speaker and amplifier's power handling. Regardless of manufacturer, it's best to completely ignore peak power ratings. $25 is not enough money to get good 5.25" speakers. $100 would get you some good coaxials.

JL makes good stuff but I've never used any of their products.

I just figure keep all the speakers same brand ? Am I wrong for doing this?? Does the enclosure matter on regular speakers? Like behin dash and in soundbar?

I have an idea. Sorta.. I'll set it up how I want it tonight after I get back from sight and sound and take pics.. Or a video

There's no need to keep all the speakers the same brand, but if you'll have grilles showing it looks better to keep them the same. The enclosure definitely matters for speakers. Those dash locations are horrible enclosures. The soundbar on the Jeep I did wasn't very good either, but I only could fit 5.25s. That's partly why the midbass was crap. I used 2 10" American Bass subs in a sealed box on 1,000W, so the bottom end was pretty decent, but there was no kick or impact above 60 Hz.

If you can make the 8s play different frequencies than the 12 it might be worth trying. Usually this means additional electronic crossovers which equals more money. It's not something I've experimented with and it might not be worth it for a weekend toy.

Would it not be smarter for me to run components an put the sub part in the rollbar an the tweeters on the dash ? Wouldn't that help with midbass?

The problem isn't where you put the speakers, at least not entirely. You're going to have the sound escaping out the vehicle if this is a soft top Jeep. This means you have to tackle it with more output while also not letting cancellation from multiple speakers defeat the purpose. Let's see what the shop has to say before we try to get this overly complicated.
