One sub or Two subs?

If i will run a memphis mclass 250w Dclass amp should i go with two tens, or a single ten, twelve, or fifteen? The amp pushes 250 W RMS. all the subs are memphis PR which are 250 W RMS each.

if the amp does 250 and a single sub takes 250 it's not a hard choice.

x2....not hard just simple math.....250 rms = 250 x ___....fill in the blank...that how many subs you get.

get a pair of 12s.

now as far as 10,12,or 15...thats up to you...generally larger cone area more spl created...so keep in mind that you need the proper airspace also...

Ok, for the first replies I know one sub = 250RMS, I was just asking which would sound better 2 subs at 125RMS each or 1 sub at 250RMS. THanks for the replies tho. I am leaning toward single 12.
