I had a car receiver installed about a year ago, and now am looking to replace my factory speakers. I am only considering 2-way arrangements for the sake of an easy install. Any comments, information, and especially troubleshooting are welcomed. And thanks in advance for the help.

(concerns: receiver is capable of 18rms will it adequately support my speaker selections, and is it possible to get 80 watts front / 120 watts back)

Car: 2001 Nissan Altima

Music: Mostly Rock/Post-rock/Instrumental

Speaker Arrangements (2 2-ways)

option 1 - preferred

question: I am going to running the below amp at 4 x 40W rms 4 ohm, speakers in what rms range would operate at optimum performance?

Question: When driving while the audio running what is the lowest freq. i could distunghing? (My hearing 30Hz-17.5kHz)

whats ur budget?

are u installing urself and do u have experience?

DEf get a amp to push the speakers.

Buy a compent set upfront, comes with speaker and tweet.

BUy some cheapo back speakers and run them of the headunit, u wont even tell a difference, some ppl dont even run rear speakers.

the max i could see myself spending is $300, would like 5 line amp and add sub later

no experience, have a friend that will help me install when i have all the parts - he's done it about half a dozen times

back speakers were ripped when i bought my car for me a priority to replace them

Goal

-good clean amp that will last very long (>10 years) at 4x 50 rms 4ohms a channel, crossover included

-front speakers – component set great all round, especially highs

-rear speakers – coaxial, get rear fill feeling (and sharper bass to somewhat counteract sub I will eventually put in)

New preferred option

FRONT

REAR

Not sure about front comp speakers recommend more at 50rms 4ohm.

Any MB Quart reviews?

All suggestions and comments welcome.
