Newbie Needing Help

Hey, I am new to the whole audio part of cars, so it is almost intimidating trying to figure it all out. But anyway I bought two 12" Volfenhag subs because I was told they were top of the line and I need an amp for them. But I only want to put one sub in my car because I want some trunk. I have a WRX so it is kinda small. This guy is selling a Concept Car Audio amp (600 watt) and a JBL 12" for 100 bucks is that a good deal. So would it be best to just get an amp for one of the Volfenhag's or buy that other deal. If anyone has anyother suggestions, please help me out. Oh, what about audio pipe or they any good. Can you return the Volfenhags? They are not top of the line, more like bottom of the trash pile. Go for that concept/jbl package for $100, itll be much better.

Yeah Volfenhags ****... You would definitely be better off with the Concept and JBL, JBL makes very good stuff, I haven't really heard much about Concept though.

From what I have heard concept makes some decent stuff, like said already. My friend had a concept sub and amp in a CRX, got pretty loud. But where are you getting this stuff from is it a shop? And if you are able to take it back what is your budget?

I am buying the amp and sub from a guy who was going to put them in his car before he totaled it. So he just wants to get rid of them now. I bought the Volfenhags off ebay. Didnt pay to much for them, so I am going to just try and sell them to someone else. My budget isnt that big, its enough to get a small system piece by piece, then later upgrade. Chief

well if you already bought them and cant return them, put them in there while you save for whatever you want later. Don't go buy more low-end stuff and upgrade to better stuff later, just save and get what you want the first time.

Agreed. Better to do it right the first time. But if you have the $100, get the concept/jbl package. That will be much better than the volfs.

Hey, this guy is selling his system in his yukon it is 8 months old, but it is 2 12" Fosgate PLATINUM subs and box plus a Kenwood 1600 watt Excelon amp with a digital power cap. Its for 300 bucks would that be a better deal than the JBl and Concept. I only have a WRX sedan so the trunk isnt the biggest. Thanks, Chief

Yeah, never heard of the platinum subs. Nothing came up in a google search either. Dont buy that rockford setup till you look at the model number on the back of the subs, it may still be a deal, but it may not. Get the model number and post it up here, Chief.
