I dont know anything about car audio... I want a good audio system in my blazer, I was wondering what kind of setup i should get and everything... I need it to be kind of cheap though. Also, I would like name brands and models, links would be great. If you could list subs and amps that go with each other and tell me the ones that are as cheap as possible but have good basss and sound great!

Well, I have no idea what even teh price range is to get a good sound system, I dont even know what all you have to have to set it up? What all DO you have to have iny our car to set it up? I need subs with enclosures also.

Im working this summer to go towards thsi, Im not really sure ho mwuch it is going to be but not much. 600 bucks maybe I have no idea.

get some sd subs from http://www.audioque.com...

find a nice little 800 to 1000w amp...

you could probably find one to do it at one ohm for around 150-200ish...

buy some knuconceptz wire..

I listen to rap, and things like sum 41 but like mostly rap.

I have no idea what amp goes to which subs and shit like not to be totally helpless but like is there any way you guys could tell me some good combinations?

Like Amp-Sub-Speaker combos? Or w/e else I am gunna neeed to set it up. I basically want everything I am going to need to set it up.

i see you live in rockford have you gone to AMERICAN yet to look at their stuff? they have alpine, pioneer, infinity and mtx they can help you there but i would say DONT BUY ANYTHING THERE like subs and amp you can get it cheaper online but just go there and see and listen to the stuff you like.. just basically go around to local car audio stores in town like ac audio on arnold st..... and in Belvidere theres loco car audio(hifonics, mb quart,soundstream ) , sound image (alpine, jl audio, kenwood..maybe more) , and automotive solutions but i never really got to check their stuff out so i dont know.....

So far I have spent $1500 trying to get good sound for a small price and am basicely starting over. My advice to you is only buy quality stuff even if you cant get everything now.

i didnt know so many peple on here are by my location. Im in Peoria Illinois and as far as a good system goes for you i second the AudioQue subs. Buy 2 of the Sd2.5 15s. Make a easy sealed box for them and they will be loud as ****. If you want them louder make a ported box but still 2 of those in a sealed box would be loud as ****. i use to have the original HD12 and my friend still has it. Loud as SHIT!!! i just had a 9515 but traded it for a MT12 plus cash. But if you want any help and want someone close contact me on here.

x2. ive gone through $1000s of dollars on different equipment just trying to keep up with all the different installs of people on the forums. I finally learned 3 years later it doesnt matter how many installs you do, its about what you like. Which is why im going back to a single high powered 12...with a new soundstream 3500 amp =P
