See, it is not a monoblock, its a 2 channel amp.

You wired the subs wrong. The subs can be wired like you have (one sub per channel, subs not wired together), but you have them wired at 8 ohms a piece, so they are seeing something around 100 watts each. You need to wire them into 2 ohm loads each.

oh, and if your car made the screeching noise before the headunit turned on, there is nothing wrong with your electronics unless you wired the remote wire wrong.

well either way, OP, just so you know, type R's like about 600-800RMS, EACH, so that amp is gonna **** for em either way

their own website doesn't even have that model anywhere. that is relying on a couple of sites that are selling the "coustic 1200db" amplifier. assuming that is the actual model.
