New sub hits hard but delayed - help!

Hey everyone,

I have a Caddy CTS with a Bose system with nav (2010). Although I dislike the system, I replaced the highs and wanted to add some kick.

I live in Chicago and went to ABT to get a Alpine 1200 amp installed to power a couple kicker L7s. They are 12s. After about 6 hours they got it installed and running. Trouble is, it hits a 1/4 second behind the system beat. It is really noticeable on faster music. ABT used a line level converter and I am guessing they tied into the Bose amp for the output instead of tapping the signal before it gets to the amp. I have never had this problem in any other installs. I checked phase and it's good.

I need your help!

you dont want to tap the wires before the factory amp only after. question is where did they tap the wire if they tapped the wrong wire you might get those symptoms. check your fade/balance might have something to do with it.

I wonder if the BOSE system attempted to delay some of the speakers for time allignment and these are the speakers that were tapped for the LOC. I would give them a call, ask exactly what they did, then inform them of the problem...basically, you paid for it, they should fix it
