New Sub flt!

Just got another type r in the same type of box as in my sig. and i have a memphis 1000d running at 2 ohms(600 watts). Alright i got this and did a quick install and am sure that i have everything right includes the gains the ohm configeration and all of that. so i get in the car start it up and cannot tell a difference by the ear that it is any louder than before. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe voltage? my lights do dim.

Right so you went from 600w on 1 to 600w on 2, or is it now 300w on 2? What exactly is the new setup running at?

Is it still wired at 2 ohms? If you had 1 12 running off 600 watts, it will be just as loud as 2 12's running off 600 watts because each one would only be getting 300. What you need to do is wire both subs to 2 ohms and then tie them together in paralel to make a 1 ohm load to the amp, then both subs will be getting 600 watts and it should be twice as loud as it was before.

the amp is seeing a 1 ohm load correct?...most likely something to do with your box

No sorry i forgot to put that i have a memphis 1000d and an alpine mrp-m650 both at 2 ohms 1 type r to each. Both subs running on 600 watts.
