New speaker box.

I am going to be building a ported speaker box to in my 01' Dodge ram truck. I will have between 5-6 cubic feet of space and I will have 1 Kicker solo baric L7 15" in it. I will be using a Memphis 1000D amp to push. What I need to know is does it matter where I put the port at on the box? I woud like to put it on the front of the box but does it matter where it is? I was thinking in the passenger side at the end on the front or maybe in the middle on top of the box pointing up or under the sub on the front. Let me know what will be best. THanks.

honestly, i think firing forward porting up is the best for trucks. possibly all firing up. this puts all the pressure up and over the seats rather than trapping it low and holding it there

I didnt think about that. I will probably put it above the subs that way it will be pointing right over the seat then.
