Hey all....went back to scratch again and came out with this.....going for sq overall....but with a big low end......sub will be in 6cf sealed middle console enclosure firing to the rear.....same vehicle 2003 Dodge ram quad cab....triple deadener everywhere plus ccf everywhere.....

My first question for you guys is can if wire my electrical like this??

Any thoughts opinions criticism welcomed.........

Well that's good to know I guess.....wouldve been better to know about $500 worth of deadener ago.....some local audio pros advised me that the more weight I added to the metal panels doors, floor, roof, rear wall, etc the betterfkr vibration control through mass loading.....then to put ccf layers for actual sound shielding, exhaust, road noise, etc.....

..flawed thinking?

And hopefully someone can give me an ok or a no go on my electrical.....hoping to start the build tommorow.....got 80% of my gear.....just need to finish the fiberglassing on the interior and find a new/used Rockford T2500.1bd or bdcp......

Agreed...but for that little 20% power gain from chaining alternators I would either have to buy a third kinetik battery to match or install a idolater or voltage regulator correct?

In this way I am assuming that the split charging system will ensure clean and safe power for all of my electronics such as screens, deck, Xbox, power inverters, etc and not allowing the audio system to bog down the electrical.....is that logical or am I overthinking it?

This alternator and batteries should be able to effectively Max out this setup correct?

I am second guessing these now.....

the 2nd run of ground wire to the rear......needed?

the 2nd run off the HO alternator......needed?

wire or bus bars to connect the batts together? difference?

I think you are into a lot more than you can handle on this project, you do have some nice equipment though. Deaden what you have to to stop rattles if you have any, there's really no point to doing so much overkill if you don't need it. A simple install is much easier to do, plus troubleshoot if needed.

the video side of this install is probably a little overkill (just can't help it) lol

as for the audio...i think I have actually downsized alot from what I was previously gonna try....i was gonna run two of the 3sixty.2's for processing which, as told to me many times, would have been a tuning nightmare on a 3way setup..........was able to get my hands on a PPI FRX-456 for a steal and will accomodate most of my needs paired with the KQ5 although I will miss the time alignment I'm sure

And what do you mean by more than i can handle? Money? Knowledge? Ability? lol

i think I'm good on all 3....just wanted to see if all of the fusing and extra runs of wiring are absolutely necessary or if I'm overdoing it.

And i really was unsure if I even needed that big of an alternator....but since i got the bracket kit on a trade and the price difference on a lower amp one was not substantial to this 270 amp i pulled the trigger........kinda like running 0ga when 4ga will do lol

You are better by runnin' 0 gauge, but you can run 4 gauge like you said and be fine. Extra fusing is always good. Good luck with install, take your time and post pics if you can. Would like to see 'em!

So you've got 2 runs of positive 1/0 going to the amps, and 2 negative runs going back to the batteries? Looks good.

Dual alt set-up is a good idea with all of the video stuff running. You should be good on batteries, someone else might recommend even 1 more in the back at the amps.

As for the cap.... why? If you're just using it as a distro block and voltage meter, I think a smaller sized battery with some buss bars would be smarter. Otherwise I'm not seeing the point of the cap?

Everything else seems to look good, and I'm very jelly of some of that gear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes I have 2 runs to the amps and 2 runs back to the batteries..... but is the second run back to the batteries really needed?

And yes I too thought that dual charging systems would be a good idea with this many electronics and I didn't even list all of them such as my xbox, power inverters, etc

As for the batteries, I was going to run another 1 but I cannot fit it under the hood and I have no more room to put it inside the cabin...so kinda stuck at 2 batteries unless I get bigger ones

About the capacitor yes I have been getting varied opinions about that....

The reason why I like running it is for yes 1 that it is a distribution block and has a voltage meter....

But also because when ever the bass hits really hard and low the capacitor is able to discharge the stored energy much faster than the batteries are able to

Especially since both of my batteries are all the way up in the front instead of right next to the amps which would be ideal
