New install diagram...can i wire my electrical like this?

Yes I have 2 runs to the amps and 2 runs back to the batteries..... but is the second run back to the batteries really needed?
And yes I too thought that dual charging systems would be a good idea with this many electronics and I didn't even list all of them such as my xbox, power inverters, etc

As for the batteries, I was going to run another 1 but I cannot fit it under the hood and I have no more room to put it inside the cabin...so kinda stuck at 2 batteries unless I get bigger ones

About the capacitor yes I have been getting varied opinions about that....

The reason why I like running it is for yes 1 that it is a distribution block and has a voltage meter....

But also because when ever the bass hits really hard and low the capacitor is able to discharge the stored energy much faster than the batteries are able to

Especially since both of my batteries are all the way up in the front instead of right next to the amps which would be ideal
As long as you can afford it, and fit it, the runs right back to the battery are the best way to go. Best way to ground really, especially for higher power systems like this.

This also comes to play with the capacitor. If you replaced the capacitor with a smaller powered battery, say a stinger SPV20 or SPP680 (just examples), I think you'd have better results. And with Bus bars on that, it could function as a distro block.

Like stated above if you can afford and fit the runs go for it. It doesnt harm anything and the easier it will be on your electrical. Nice equipment by the way I would like to see a finished product soon.

I think Ecrack-net or w/e his user name is an electrician, I'd show that diagram to an electrician it looks sound to me.

I think why not use 2 runs of 1/0 you seem to have the money for it, the job is going to be just as big no matter what added electical is always a plus. Should take ya a while to install everything but should sound good man good luck with the build.

Also, back to what I started with, you said 3 layers of deadener... you've already bought it yes? If you haven't already installed it, I'd return 2.5 of it.

Either you are familiar with the 25% coverage method and you're in complete denial of it... or you aren't familiar with it. In the case of the latter, I'll refer you here: Sound Deadener Showdown - Your Source for Sound Deadening Products and Information

In short, 25% coverage of flat panels, yields the best results, when complemented with CCF and MLV. You could return most of the deadener you got, and get an adequate amount of MLV and CCF and have MUCH better results.

Just something the think about. Do it once, do it right, ya know?

Lol yea....at least no one can say I don't have 'enough' CLD.....haha fml

And I can say things like "my dampener cost more than your whole system buddy."

Lmao....even tho its not funny...oh well.....putting in the ccf and mlv tommorow

Ok battery question.....

I was planning on using the two Kinetik KHC2000 batteries...but....

Since I will have dedicated charging system for my audio system

would using two XS Power 14 volt D1400's be a better choice?

I have been seeing good reviews about these batteries and I'm thinking

it would make the amps more efficient running at 14.4 volts as opposed to 12 volts...

Correct?

Would the two 14v D1400's along with the mechman 270A be sufficient to run the power I need?

3000 more or less from the Rockford and 1000 between both Infinitys

So 4000 Watts total.....think it would keep me at a constant 14.4 to 16 volts?

The 14v batts charge at 16 correct? So what will the amps see? 14.4 or 16?

Oh yea? That's cool....there's not too many local guys on here....good to hear from ya bro....u get the same kinda rain we got last night? Free car wash buddy lol

This makes sense to me in my head, but I really know nothing about it. Hopefully someone a bit more experience could chime in

I live on Cumberland off of Grandview and University but me and my brother do all of are installs and fabs at his garage on Maple.....you?
