New HU with sub pre outs...

Basically the sub is barely moving. Before i tapped into the front signal and everything worked great. Now i have the sub preout going straight to the sub amp and the sub barely moves. It is getting a signal because I can put my hand on it and I can feel something. I have a 2004 mazda 6 with a metra kit. I am confused and any help would be great! Thanks!

so you don't list the HU nor the amp, nor a pic or description of how your gains are set. my guess is that if you HU has sub output control that you didn't turn that up or your gains on your amp are not up.

Sorry. I have a alpine cda-105 and a jl amp. My gain is half way. The sub output on the HU is set 6 of 14. Setting it to 14 doesn't make a difference.
