What about SRT-4 Neon's...
eew :p http://www.modernracer.com/dodgeneonsrt4.html -- fast in the class -- but its a neon -- and a dodge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol

But yea -- the accord is nice... It managed to stay in the list of cars I was considering till I realized I could prolly afford things a class up shortly... So now its Honda S2000 -- Audi TT -- Lancer Evo -- which one waaa //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Neons are fast, if thats what you're looking for in a car you won't be disspointed. If you're looking for anything else however...

I want something that will outrun a Mach 1 mustang(I know these credentials are stupid, but I have reasons) that I can put my ported 15 in, and that gets reasonable gas mileage

Cant be ugly as chit either

And I'm trying to do all of this at around 17,000 or less

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

That's just me though

Once again, sorry if I'm threadjacking

Wonder if I could pick up a used Evo for around 17? 03 maybe

Only problem too, is finding one

I'm trading in my truck on whatever I get

I cant find the reviews for one of the LS1's

And I found the WS6's, says they get 18-19 a gallon but good GOD are they still expensive

So right now I'm looking at

5 spd Accord, Neon SRT-4, and maybe a ***** Am/Camaro if I can find one with good gas mileage

Only problem, Also, is I'm trying to stay away from things considered high performance - which makes a 5 spd accord or maxima MUCH more appealing

There is no 'IF', its been done , many a times ...for years. Aside of the fact that C&D got a 14.6 out of it. I ran 14.69's on the OEM tires when i first got the car in 2002, If i had better rubber I know I could've done better.
Modded N/A's are in the 13's.

Its all about the driver. There are guys with auto's that cant get under 14.7's, then there are others that can get into the low 14's. And we are on talking street tires, not drag radials.

I can definately confirm this, as Ive been in,worked on and driven Alot of them.

So an 03-04 2 door accord is looking pretty good - how hard would it be to geti tin the 13's for the quarter?
Chip, intake, exhaust, headwork and a cam that i dont haveto change the lifters on

What else?

how bad would that kill the gas mileage?

*Sorry, don't mean to jack your thread*

My previous car before my G35 was an '03 AV6 6MT. Not hard to get it to break into the 13s.
