New Car, new box design help!

Well, I picked up a new car last week. I got an 08 Pontiac G8 GT. The trunk is pretty big (17 cu ft). The seats don't fold down, but there is a pass-through that is about 10" wide by 12" high. I'll be running 2 RE HC12's (dual 2) on an RD 3250.1. The rear deck has 2 factory 8's also. I'm keeping the stock H/U because it has the HVAC readouts on it. Anyway, I wanted ya'lls input on the best way to build the box. My initial thought is fire the subs and port to the rear, and take out the 8's, but I would appreciate all the ideas ya'll can give me.

In my last car I had a box designed with the sub firing back (same sub) and the port facing into a pass-through, and this seemed to work pretty good. I don't have the specs for the subs anymore though, so I don't know the best size to make it (and the port). I believe between 4-5 cu ft. I want to tuned to 34 hz.

Also, I should say what my objective is with the system. I'm wanting to compete in the street b class. I also would like it to sound good on a daily basis. I mostly listen to rock & heavy metal.

I say keep the 8's in the rear deck - but...

find a way to build them a sealed box enclusure - so that the preassure from the other subs

in the trunk will not affect the cone movment of them. the enclosure for them does not have to be large.

just good enought to stop preassure from other subs hitting from moving their cones.

if you listen to alot of rock - they might help your drum hits feel punchy.

and also help in midbass areas.

I was actually thinking of replacing the 8's with some aftermarket ones (maybe some RE) and doing this exact thing. I also have an RD 55.4 I can run on them, so that would actually be perfect! It shouldn't be too hard to seal them in with another box right underneath.
