need some tough subs!!!!

my take on it from what i have gathered is that the amp tries to send more power then it is capable of and it "clips" the top and the bottom of sound waves and sends very bad signals/power to the subs... its how the bad juju gets in! lolis that somewhere in the ballpark??

whats a good cure for clipping? or isn't ther one?
Pretty correct, the amp sends a squre signal i believe, ITs a dirty wave that causes the subs coils to prematurly reach thermal limits. The 2 best ways to combat it are overhead ( having an amp capable of more power than the sub needs ) along with an O-scope or Multimeter and using proper gain setting techniques.

yes my amp was mounted to my box... i'm a dumba$$
Thats most likely why, vibrated parts loose.

thanks for all the help!

i guess i have a long way to go...

is this amp fixable or should i throw this thing in the dumpster?? my **** amp ended the same way my subs did... UP IN SMOKE!

does that aq amp have a clipping led??

ok heres another question, my car doesn't have folding rear seats, so i took the back of the seat off completley, my car has now been a 2 seater for 4 years...

does anyone see a problem with me putting my box with 2 12"s where the seat used to be and having the subs facing my back??

i could fit a much bigger box that way i think, if i took the driver seat out to get it in...
