If you need a good box I can build you one cheap. If tou have some tools i would do it yourself. It would help to know your vehicle to help you get loud. You basically want to take up as much space as your willing to, unless its a trunk car. Build a good box for that space and then fill the space with the best subs for your money.

If you want the most bass for your money a 12" btl is not the way to go unless you dont have room for a 15 or two cheaper 12s

First - You clipped those volfenhags. Period. You wouldnt know if you clipped them because you dont know what clipping means.

Second - Your BTL will be under powered. I would highly suggest again buying it. You might be throwing 600-800 watts at it cleanly after rise and to make it more efficient you will need a bigger box which means more rise. I suggest 2 600ish subs and a 2K-2500 watt amp. Then you can give them power cleanly. An AQ 2200 on 2 Sundown SA-12"s would be amazing in the proper box size tuned to 32-34 hz.

Thats not that great ...I did a 151.9 with one 12 in the trunk.....with 3 I'd expect 155's with that much cone area

i have decided against the btl as well, i just wanted a WOW factor, like what? you only have 1 12" in there??? lol

this will be going in a 97 grand am coupe, i just barely could fit the box in for the volfenhags and that was roughly 3.2-3.5 cu ft...

worstenemy= so what your saying is that overpowering the subs is fine?? thats almost giving them double?? i was always trying to match rms of subs to rms of amps...

lets ay i run 2 12" at 600 rms a piece, sending 1100 a piece is ok? run them at 1 ohm?

does anyone have any idea what the hell happened to my amp??

Theres a few things you obviously dont understand. When you build a box, you have impedence rise. If you wire it to 1 ohm, it could be seeing 3 ohms by the time Imp rise takes effect. Having head room is a great idea. If you knew how to set your gains you would not have a problem. You can run 2 600 RMS subs with a 10,000 Watt amp if you know what you are doing. The combo i suggested would be prefect once you total in box rise and if you get someone who knows what they are doing to set your gains.

About your amp. Either the clipping got to it, vibration got to it, or low voltage got to it. Did you have it mounted on your box ?

usually not ...because of being a lower frequency sound...thats what I love about DD's higher end amps they have a built in clipping idicator on the remote bass knob...different recorded songs can clip more than others ...especially rap music with lots of bass....

u cant even compare the sonances to a ddz...thats apples and oranges...sonances are EASILY $500 less plus cant take ANYWHERE near as much power as the ddz

my take on it from what i have gathered is that the amp tries to send more power then it is capable of and it "clips" the top and the bottom of sound waves and sends very bad signals/power to the subs... its how the bad juju gets in! lol

is that somewhere in the ballpark??

whats a good cure for clipping? or isn't ther one?
