Need some help modifying dash Kit. Pics inside.

Dude, you need the correct effing kit. You lowballed the trim like so many other people do and got burned. And you could have purchased a better fitting HU, but I doubt you specced everything out.
It's a pretty bold move to be citing crap work from an establish member when YOU are the one whose obviously at fault here.

No,No Dan, he is Never wrong...

This is simple. This is a yes or no answer. I am not interested in hearing any more drivel and your cheese and whine show. Answer this question with a yes or no only.

Q: Did you pay for custom install?

Just to clarify this for you as it seems you are unable to comprehend what people write and we sure as heck don't want you to make any more mistakes.

Basic install is, here is a kit, there is the hole, here is the deck, fire it in and it's how it is. If basic mods need to be made to the kit to allow something to fit, it is basic mods only. I am sure that you do not work for free, why should the installer? By the sounds of it you paid for a little more than basic install only.

Custom install is simple. You pay, sometimes through the nose, for the job you want done and expect the outcome that you want. Custom install includes bondo work, fibreglassing, making things fit in areas that they do not normally fit into. You want flush and no gaps, color matched paint etc., you pay for it and it does not cost $50.00 or so, it is going to cost over $150.00 or so, totaly dependent on the vehicle, the equipment and what the customer wants. Custom install takes up so much more time that you somehow expect people to do for free. So, by your own admissions, with the price that you paid, and the work that was done and so that you do not forget the question again, Did you pay for custom install?

Remember, yes or no answer only so you do not confuse yourself here.

d@mn , all this b!tchin over a scosche kit that doesnt work with his headunit anyway... word of advice, this isnt oem equipment, so its not going to fit perfectly. Deal with it.

If you cant, put the factory headunit back in and quit b!tching.

They way i see it is this guy did you a favor doing the install for a couple bucks. If you wanted it perfect and almost oem looking, you would have gone to some shop and paid out the ***. You probably would have gotten it the way you wanted it, but you were lookin to save a few bucks.

jesus people the KIT DOES NOT FIT!!!!!!!!!! it does not matter if god put that kit together...WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT MODIFICATION IT WILL NOT LOOK RIGHT. The guy knew what he was getting into, but kept creaming his pants because someone had a good pic of ANOTHER unit with SIGNIFICANT MODIFICATION to it. This was all stated numerous times by MANY people PRIOR to the install. get my point across? Let the thread die now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

He could have bolted the headunit deeper into the dash

he could have left a cleaner line on that bezel...

and did the installer scratch the bezel? someones gotta redo it anyways...

That install succkssss...
As an installer you should be ashamed.. all you care about is what yer being paid eh?
You get what you pay for... sorry to tell ya, but thats how business works most of the time. There are the occasional people that will go out of their way for ya, but 90% of businesses work that way.
