Need some help modifying dash Kit. Pics inside.

Don thats the thing! I WAS chanrged for that portion of the install!!! IT WAS NOT FREE! I paid extra to have it installed...If I wouldnt have been charged I would certainly understand this and I weouldnt have complained at all. But im upset because I was chraged for this and in addition had to had to buy the kit. Im only upset now because I should have just bought the navi from you and had you do my install. Something tells me you would have made it nice. I dunno.

Just going by what Nilesh told, which was that he did not charge you for the HU install. EVerything else is between you two, but hes been straightup with me for years now, so I do tend to believe him.

Im not crazy. Like I said the whole reason why I Was upset is becaus eI paid to have this done and I felt like I should be re-emburced FOR THAT PART OF THE INSTALL ONLY. Because like I said everything else is great. ANd I really dont understand what this prio track record is that you guys keep referring to either. Like I said before I thought you werent authorized so I cancelled payment like Directed Electronics told me I should do. Then when we sorted it out it was fine. Im happy with the sub install you did because it was done well. I paid right away for the speakers,,, So please stop using that as an excuse to make me look bad.

I paid for this and I felt I should be re-emburced. How much I paid is irrelevnt because I asked Nilesh how much extra he required me to pay to install the navi... He gave me a price and said I would have to buy the kit and the wires myself... That is all. We would not be having this isse if it was for free. Hell I wouldnt even complain about the scrat5ch if its done for free becase that would only cost me $10. But this is not right when you are getting paid. I traveled 3 hours each way and spent about $50 on transportation because I believe I would get an above average install...

Alright, the HU install was not completely free, but you paid $30 fcuking dollars on top of the amp install/component speakers/coax speakers/full speaker rewire/MDF rings for the HU, (wiring and mounting of it only) and might I add, ALL THE COMPONENTS OF THE HU, Bluetooth, Ipod, XM, and programming the PAC steering wheel controls

Go find a shop ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD that will do what I did for $30 fcuking dollars.

As far as the fitment is concerned, I said I'll figure it out and do what I can. Nothing could be done without modification, and for $30, no sort of modification is going to be done in the middle of the night.

it was $50 more dollars... it was $30 more dollars tha a reguklar headunit. But listen I said the price is irrelevant. I asked you HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST EXTRA TO INSTALL THE NAV AND MAKE EVERYTHING FLUSH. You said since you have everything apart already $30 more dollars than a regular HU. You where the one to tell me the price. I assume the price you tell me is the price you need to do an install. IF you call what you did an install of the navi it is crap and unacceptable.

You never said no modifcation. I told you that you would have to do some modification and you said you will figure it out and that it would be anice clean install. Thats exactly what you said. In addition I told you that I would come any day of the week and time but you insisted that I drop the car off over night. For a trip that is 3 hours each way and no where for me to stay it was horrible for me so please dont start this night thing again... I figured its still worth the travel because you would do an above average job... Again your fee is irrelevant. Wehn you told me your fee on top of a regular HU thats the price I went buy...

If Im a dentist and you want a crown in the front of your mouth I quote a fee of $400. You do it but the color is off and it doesnt look like a real tooth. You come and complain and ITell you well for $400 what can you expect? Go find a dentist that will give you a crown on your tooth for $400... I think my point is obvious.

The regular head unit was $5 extra to cover the connectors and few minutes to wire it up, since the dash was already apart.

If you go to a shop with a kit, harness and HU and pay their STANDARD HU isntall price, how the fcuk can you expect them to customize the dash to get it 500% flush? Custom install is included in a standard price? No, never.

Most people are happy with the work and know that their dash will never look 100% OEM, ever again. Granted, yours is hacked up, but thats because bondo/paint/sanding is not included in $30.

I didnt research any other shops because I wanted you to do my install because I thought I would get above average work... You game me your fees and I agreed.... You also said the install would be nice and clean, even though I told you that you will have to dreemel and adjust this kit which you knew you would have to do. And you said that you would figure it out... You scatched the kit, you scatched the vents, the steering wheel remote stopped working after you "installed" it. IT was working 100% before you got your hands on it, you decided not to put in the srew that holds the dash together aat the ash tray because it didnt fit since you just crammed everything in the back of the dash and you didnt tell me about it. If I knew all of this I would have just had Don do the install for me...

Reg HU was $20? And a z1 was $30? What makes you think that for $10 I'd do all the extra work that you're complaining about? Sorry, but your $20 figure is wrong, dead wrong. You asked me a price? I gave you a break on the price...just look how low they are. Would you have paid an extra $x/hour for custom work to be done? Highly doubt it because you were not even willing to purchase from an authorized dealer.

Scratched the kit, fine. Scratched the already broken vents? ::shrug:: I see no scratches.

RE: Steering wheel controls. How am I supposed to know they worked before? For all I know they could have already been broken. It's my word against yours. Since your radio is out why dont you plug your Blose back in and see if they work? That would tell you if its your PAC or steering controls. (holy cr@p after all this, I'm STILL helping you)

"Figuring it out" is within reason. My prices were not for a custom job. Little bit of trimming to get it to go, fine, freebie, but I told you that the dash needed work from the second I picked you up. Custom jobs are never included in a standard price, thats just common sense.

It's a fuggin screw, and no it wouldnt fit because there IS NO ROOM. I can't make something that is 3 cuft fit in something that is 2cuft. It's physically impossible. You want me to tell you about the other screws I found missing throughout the car? What about all the extras that I found in your passenger side finger cup?

Dude, you need the correct effing kit. You lowballed the trim like so many other people do and got burned. And you could have purchased a better fitting HU, but I doubt you specced everything out.

It's a pretty bold move to be citing crap work from an establish member when YOU are the one whose obviously at fault here.
