Need some a little help on 1 12" type-r ported box

I wanna build my own box this time around, but I wasnt sure which box would work the best

I looked through Moe Lester's sticky on box plans, and saw this one:

its a 1.75@32

is there a better one I could use? its for a single type-r 12" with 600 watts running to it in a hatchback

I'd do atleast 2.5. IMO 1.75 is around the volume needed for a 10" ported.

is 32hz a good number to stay at? what would u guys suggest? I listen to mostly rock/hardcore/classic rock

in my personal op. i would go like 40. anything in the low 30's i have found best for rap for the main reason it is a lower, deaper bass. but thats just my 2 cents

Maybe something like 35hz

No, no, no, do NOT tune it at 40. Low 30s are the best overall compromise. I would give it around 2-2.25 cubes tuned to 30-34hz.

I just built Moe's 2.0 cubic box for my Type-R tuned at 32hz. It is AMAZING. I used to have a sealed box and this thing blows it away in the SPL department. I'm only 16 and I built this box myself. His plans are idiot-proof, and he has a few variations for different spaces. Personally, I'd go with the 2.0, it's one beast of a box. Just make sure you use silicone to seal the joints and speaker terminal cup.

I got my plans from PV audio. My box is 2 cu. ft. tuned to 31 and it wangs pretty hard.
